Jesus Camp: Praise be stupidity.
September 21st, 2006I saw this video on YouTube about a new movie/documentary of a camp for kids called “Jesus Camp”… Watch the vid and be disturbed.
Let me start by saying… WTF?! The woman running this camp is a loon, plain and simple. She talks about how in the middle east they raise their kids to be warriors for their jihad, and she wants to do the same for her kids. It makes me sick to think that people are actually allowing theirs kids to be a part of this.
There is a part were there are 2 kids sitting by a window and the little girl says something along the lines of “they are teaching us to be soldiers, but in a fun way” and the little boy says “People die for God all the time, and they aren’t afraid”. Oh man, what the hell are they doing to their children? Please am i nuts or something? Does anyone else find something wrong with this ‘camp’?

That song that comes on at around 0:40 is very hypnotic… almost turned me into an evangelist.
It blows my mind that in the year 2006 we are still promoting such religious closed mindedness. Are we going training these children to be the Christian soldiers that are going to go to war against their Muslim counterparts?
Religion needs to take a back seat in the development of children, especially when it is this extreme. All this is doing to our kids is brainwashing them and taking away from their potential to be open minded free thinkers.
I will see this movie, but only because it will scare me more then any horror movie ever has.
